'Best of Young British Novelists', The Guardian have claimed Dan Rhodes as the best new writer in Britain. His latest novel 'Gold' (2007) was shortlisted for the 2008 Catherine MacLean Prize. He has published two collections of short fiction: "Anthropology: And a Hundred Other Stories" (2000), which contains very short, darkly humorous stories about romantic relationships, it hit the stage in July 2009. Director Dan Bird has staged three performances, two in London and a grand finale at the Latitude Festival. His first novel, 'Timoleon Vieta Come Home: A Sentimental Journey', was published in April 2003, and is about a dog's travels across Italy. Cate Le Bon has written a song about 'Timoleon Vieta Come Home', and it’s out on white vinyl. His recent published titles are 'Little White Car' (2004), and 'Gold' (2007). His sixth book, 'Little Hands Clapping' will be published in 2010. |
