On 27 April, 2008 the second Sunday after the opening of The
Book Attic, 3 high school students: Wong Hiu-ying, Pang To-kiu
and Yue Pui-sze visited the attic.  After I explained to them how
this book club operates, they were so excited and told me that
they now can afford to read more.  Each girl opened a book lover
account immediately.

Watching them browsing, chatting, laughing, asking questions
and then left the attic each with a book that they like to read in
their hands with a big smile on their faces, I feel so happy.  This
is not because I've sold 3 books from HK$35.00 to $40.00 each.
There is no wealth can buy the joy in watching their happiness of
finding a book they want and can afford to read.

I am determined to keep the attic's door open.  If my saving run
out, I will lease my flat out and use the rental income as
subsidiaries for the operation costs of the attic until its roots are
firmly grounded.

All my close family members and a handful of friends support me
because they know how I loved to read since childhood. They
have given me emotional and physical support.

I wish to express thankfulness from the depth of my heart to:

Mother. There is no combination of words to express my thanks
for the love, support and caring you give me and you offer to let
me to move in with you if my saving run out in the future.  I love
you.

Without you as my Dharma teacher to guide me, I would be a
miserable soul without realization of the true meaning of love,
compassion and freedom.

I am so fortunate to have all of you in my journey of this life.
